UFE & Mosaic ​

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Molex, I am part of the core team developing the Unified Frontend Ecosystem (UFE) and its flagship manufacturing application, Mosaic. These projects represent our strategic move from fragmented standalone tools to a connected digital ecosystem for global manufacturing.

The UFE Framework ​

UFE is Molex’s unified PaaS platform for applications, dashboards, and shared services. It is designed to be the single entry point with shared identity, enabling standardization, speed, and scalable growth through reusable services across Molex digital teams.

Strategic Goals at Molex ​

  • Deliver consistent user experiences: Standardizing UI/UX across all internal tools.
  • Reduce duplication: Minimizing integration effort through shared architectural patterns.
  • Improved visibility: Breaking down data silos via shared data tiers.
  • Scale faster: Leveraging common services for rapid deployment to multiple global sites.

Mosaic: Revolutionizing MOS ​

Mosaic is a custom-built application for Molex, specifically tailored to revolutionize our Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS). It is built on top of the UFE platform to ensure an improved and consistent digital experience.

From Mevisio to Mosaic ​

Recognizing the limitations of off-the-shelf tools like Mevisio, we initiated Mosaic to better serve the specific needs of our manufacturing sites. Developed for Molex by Molex, it incorporates the "Voice of the Employee" to provide features that were previously missing.
